BISCUITS SUPREME 
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2/3 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients, cut in shortening, add milk all at once, stir until dough follows fork. Turn on lightly floured board and knead gently 1/2 minute. Pat or roll dough 1/2 inch thick and cut. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
