1 1/2 lb. pork steak (1/2 inch thick), cut into strips 2 tbsp. oil 1 lg. onion, sliced 1 med. green pepper, cut into strips 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce 3 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Brown pork strips in oil in skillet to remove excess fat. Drain on paper towels. Place pork strips and all remaining ingredients into slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (High for 4 hours). Serve over hot fluffy rice. |
