GRANDMA'S ORANGE CARROT CAKE 
1 c. Grandma's molasses (gold label)
1 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. shredded carrots
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

In large bowl combine molasses, butter, eggs, and orange juice; mix well. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Stir in carrots and walnuts. Pour into 2 greased 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.

ICING:

3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. grated orange peel

Beat until smooth. Spread over cake layer garnish top with grated orange peel or walnuts.
