HUSHPUPPIES 
2 c. self rising cornmeal
1/2 c. self rising flour
1 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. chopped onions
1 1/4 c. milk
1 egg

Mix cornmeal, flour and sugar. Add onions, then milk and eggs. Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls into deep hot grease, 375 degrees. When done, they will float. Put on brown paper to drain. Yield: about 24 hushpuppies.
