GOBS 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. cocoa mixed with 1 c. hot black coffee
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour, sifted
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix above ingredients in order, making sure to add baking soda to hot coffee - cocoa mixture. Drop from spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet, in size of fifty cent piece. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. Spread filling between cooled cookies.

FILLING:

6 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. Crisco or butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat to boiling point, stirring constantly until thick, flour and milk. Set aside to cool. Then beat Crisco with powdered sugar until fluffy. Then add thickened mixture and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
