CHOCOLATE MALT CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/2 to 3/4 c. natural flavor instant malted milk

Grease and flour 2 round pans, 8 or 9 inch. Prepare cake as directed, except add malted milk powder. Pour into pans. Bake as directed. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Let cool completely. Fill layers and frost with Chocolate Malt Frosting.

CHOCOLATE MALT FROSTING:

Blend in medium saucepan: 1/4 c. natural flavored malted milk powder 3 eggs

Beat on high speed 1 minute. Cook mixture over medium heat, beating on high speed for 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Beat in 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips a little at a time. Beat in 3/4 cup soft butter until blended. Return to heat until butter is melted. Pour into small bowl. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Beat on high speed until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes.
