MOCK CREAM FROSTING 
1 c. milk
5 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/8 tsp. flavoring (vanilla or almond)
Dash of salt
Food coloring

Cook flour and milk in double boiler until consistency of thick paste. Place in pan of cold water to cool. Combine sugar, Crisco, flavoring, and salt in separate bowl and beat with electric mixer until very thick. Add flour mixture to this (while still lukewarm) and beat again until very thick. Color with desired food coloring.
