OLD BOSTON EGGNOG 
3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1 c. vanilla ice cream

Beat egg yolks and add sugar. Beat 6 egg whites and stir in with pinch of baking soda and 6 ounces rum. Add milk and ice cream. Stir; sprinkle with nutmeg. Set in refrigerator overnight. Next day, beat other 6 egg whites; stir in and sprinkle with nutmeg again. Makes 9 cups. For a quick version: Combine all the ingredients in a blender, being careful not to overbeat.
