BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. white flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
4 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in mixing bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender. Add buttermilk. Mix by hand just until the dough holds together. Turn out onto a floured board. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter or a drinking glass. Place on a well greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
