CORNMEAL PANCAKES 
Put 2 cupfuls of corn meal, 1 teaspoon salt in bowl. Pour enough boiling water over the corn meal to make a batter. Let stand to cool. Add 3 beaten egg yolks. Add enough flour to make the right consistency. Add 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Just before baking, add the 3 egg whites, beaten stiff.
