DISGUSTINGLY RICH BROWNIES 
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
3/4 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Grease 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Melt butter over very low heat. In mixing bowl, stir the cocoa and sugar together. Then stir in the melted butter. Add eggs and vanilla and stir again. Add flour and salt and mix just until smooth. Add walnuts if desired. Scrape mixture into greased pan in an even layer. Bake at 350 degrees until brownies just begin to pull away from the sides of the pan - about 40- 50 minutes.
