SAVORY GRILLED BREAD 
1 c. freshly grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
6 lg. cloves garlic
2 tbsp. Dijon style mustard
1 1/2 c. olive oil
2 loaves Italian, French or challah bread

Process first 3 ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. Gradually add olive oil while processor is running.

Slice 2 loaves bread crosswise in 1" slices, not cutting through bottom crust. Brush mixture between slices and grill, turning, far enough away from coals so as not to char crust. (Bread also may be baked 10 to 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.)

Makes 2 cups, enough for 2 loaves, approximately 6 to 8 servings.
