BASIC BISCUITS | |
2 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. shortening 3/4 c. milk (buttermilk) Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening and milk. Stir into soft ball. Turn dough onto floured board. Knead lightly 20 to 25 minutes. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes. |
