LAYERED ENCHILADA PIE 
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chili pepper
8 oz. tomato sauce
6 to 8 tortillas buttered
About 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2/3 c. water

Fry hamburger, onion and garlic; drain. Add the next 5 ingredients. Simmer a few minutes to blend. In a round 2 quart casserole, layer tortilla, meat sauce and cheese. Repeat layers about 5 times until the meat is all used. Then top with 1 more tortilla and the last of the cheese. Pour water in around the edge of the casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
