DUMPLINGS 
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 gal. chicken or turkey stock

Mix flour, milk, and salt together; cut in shortening. Mix well. Knead slightly, roll out thin. Cut into 2 x 1 inch strips. Drop into hot stock. After strips are all in stock, cook about 5-10 minutes longer.
