TURKEY AND STUFFING PIE | |
3 1/2 c. seasoned stuffing crumbs 1/4 c. butter 1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onions 1 (10 oz.) can condensed soup, celery, chicken or mushroom 1 1/2 to 2 c. cubed, cooked turkey or chicken 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed & drained 1 1/4 c. water 3/4 - 1 c. milk Heat butter and water until butter melts, stir in crumbs and half the onions. Spoon this mixture into a 9" round or 10"x10" square casserole. Press the mixture across the bottom and sides to make a shell. In a medium bowl, combine the soup, milk, turkey and peas; pour into the stuffing shell. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through. Top with remaining onions and bake, uncovered another five minutes or until onions are brown. A few sliced pre-cooked carrots add color to this dish. |
