SPECIAL BROWNIES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

In large bowl, mix sugar, salt and flour. In a saucepan, combine cocoa, butter and water; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring well. Remove from heat and mix into flour mixture. Beat for 1 minute or until batter is well blended. Add eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Batter will be thin, but mix well.

Pour into greased and floured 10 x 15 inch jelly roll size pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 c. chocolate chips

Bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil and cook for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add chips. Beat well and add nuts if desired. Spread over brownies.
