SCALLOPED HASH BROWNS 
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash browns, practically thawed
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1 c. chopped onion or 1/4 c. dried onion
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, melted
Salt & pepper to taste
Garlic salt to taste

In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Place in deep 2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
