7 LAYER SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, finely chopped
2 tbsp. sugar
1 box/bag frozen green peas, par-boiled
6 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
1 pt. mayonnaise

Spread bite-sized bits of lettuce on bottom of a large salad boil. Sprinkle onion, celery and green pepper in layers on top of lettuce. Add par-boiled peas. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar on top. Spread 1 pint of mayonnaise on top (like icing) until entirely covered. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese (grated) on top. Cover with plastic wrap and set in refrigerator 6 to 8 hours. Will keep well for 2 to 3 days.
