STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE 
2 sticks butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix butter with sugar and egg. Beat well. Mix dry ingredients. Combine mixtures. Sprinkle flour on board and rolling pin. Toss dough on board and roll thin. Cut into shapes. Bake at 350 degrees on greased cookie sheet for 10 minute. Split shortcakes and fill with slightly sweetened chopped strawberries. Add more to the top and dab on whipped cream. Delicious!
