TERIYAKI MARINADE 
1/2 c. soy sauce
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
2 tbsp. dry sherry

In bowl or tightly covered jar, mix or shake all ingredients well, until sugar is dissolved. Use as a marinade for beef or chicken pieces, quarters or halves. Brush with marinade while cooking, until desired doneness.
