PROSCIUTTO-PARMESAN PULL-APART
LOAF
 
1 1/2 stick butter
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. prosciutto, coarsely chopped
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. fresh basil, chopped (or 1/4 c. parsley, chopped & 1 tbsp. dry basil)
1 lb. loaf Italian or rye bread
Foil

Mix together all ingredients, except bread. Cut 12 angular lines almost all the way through bread. Spread 1 tablespoon prosciutto butter on each cut. Turn loaf around; cut 12 diagonal lines in opposite direction (thus making diamond shapes of bread 1 1/2-inch). Spread remaining butter on these cuts. Surround prepared loaf in foil 1/2 way up and on ends to secure. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
