STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
1/2 lb. rice
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. lard
6-8 green peppers
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream

Cook rice in covered saucepan for 10 minutes. Core, seed and wash peppers and soak in hot water. Combine cooked rice, sauteed onion, tomato pulp, ground beef, salt and pepper. Stuff peppers. Add hot water around peppers to come up to 2 inches. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Add sour cream to liquid around peppers to last 10 minutes of baking. Yield: 6 servings.
