COWBOY RANCH STEW 
1 tbsp. fat
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 c. whole kernel corn
2 c. canned kidney bean
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder (optional)
3/4 tsp. salt

Put fat in large heavy kettle. Add beef, onion, and green pepper. Cook, stirring until meat is browned and onion and green peppers are tender. Drain corn, beans and tomatoes, add the liquids to the meat and cook until liquid is reduced to about 1/2.
