1 1/2 c. Crisco butter flavor shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. white sugar
3 eggs
2 tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. whole wheat flour
3 1/3 c. white flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients well. Drop spoonful on cookie sheet 3 inches apart. Makes 8 dozen, 2 1/2 inch cookies.
