SPAGHETTI WITH TUNA BALLS | |
TUNA BALLS: 1 (7 oz.) can grated tuna 1 lg. egg 3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 2 tbsp. milk 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Tabasco 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs 1/3 c. cooking oil or butter Prepare tuna balls by combining all ingredients except bread crumbs and cooking oil. Shape tuna mixture into small balls and roll in bread crumbs. Brown in the cooking oil. SPAGHETTI: 1 (8 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti TUNA BALL SPAGHETTI SAUCE: 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. oregano leaves 1/2 tsp. basil leaves 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. black pepper Grated Parmesan cheese OR Grated Romano cheese Mix all ingredients for sauce in a saucepan and simmer for 30-40 minutes. Just before serving, add tuna balls to sauce. Serve on top of cooked spaghetti. Top with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese. |
