2 lbs. 2 oz. beef (eye roast), sliced thin as bacon 2 lg. dry onions, sweet Spanish, sliced 3 bunches green onions, sliced 1 can bean sprouts (do not use juice) 2 cans bamboo shoots, use juice 1 lg. can mushrooms, use juice 2 cans water chestnuts, sliced (do not use juice) 1 bottle Soya Sauce 1/2 c. sugar Fry beef in small amount of cooking oil until lightly browned. Add all vegetables, then sugar and soya sauce. Cook gently until onions are thoroughly cooked. Serve with rice, soft noodles or hard noodles. (If desired, a cup or two of chopped celery may be added along with the other vegetables.) |
