GOLD RUSH GRIDDLE COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. milk
1 1/4 c. seedless raisins

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture is mealy. Add egg, milk, and raisins; mix until ingredients are moistened and dough holds together. Roll out on floured board to 1/4 inch thick. Heat griddle (oil griddle); place cookies on griddles. As bottom browns, turn and brown other side.
