BANANA NUT BREAD 
1 3/4 c. sifted plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Crisco
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed banana
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Sift flour & mix with baking powder, soda & salt. Cream shortening & sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beat well after each egg. Add bananas with 1/4 of flour mixture at a time, beat well. Stir in nuts. Turn into well greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 50 min. Cool on rack before slicing.
