AUNT KATIE'S DUMPLINGS 
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chicken broth

Add enough flour to make stiff dough. Roll out thin and cut in strips. Stretch pieces of dough and drop in boiling broth. Boil slowly 10 minutes. Press down with fork. Do not stir. Shake pan to keep from sticking. Put lid on pan and cook 10 minutes on low.
