CAVATELLI WITH BROCCOLI 
1 lb. cavatelli
3 c. sliced mushrooms
1/2 lb. butter
1 bunch broccoli
1 qt. half & half
5 or 6 crushed garlic cloves
1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Put cavatelli into 5 quarts boiling water. Cook until chewy. While pasta is cooking cut up broccoli and boil about 5 minutes. Drain broccoli. Strain the pasta, add mushrooms, butter, half and half, garlic, parsley and broccoli to the drained pasta.

Cook on high heat, stirring slowly until it boils. Lower heat to simmer as mixture thickens. Add cheese, turn off and let sit a few minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
