GERMAN CASSEROLE 
1 (16 oz.) can kraut
2 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion
1 c. rice
3 c. tomatoes (canned) or tomato juice
2-3 tbsp. brown sugar

Brown ground beef in 10 inch skillet, remove, saute sliced-diced onion, remove to dish. Use about half of onion and ground beef in bottom skillet, layer remaining ingredients, use half, layer twice, use 1/2 of brown sugar to each layer. Use uncooked rice. Bake, covered, in 350 degree oven for an hour, or until a grain of rice when mashed with a fork is done. Top off dish with corn bread, for a complete meal.
