WASSAIL (HOT HOLIDAY PUNCH) 
2 qts. apple juice
1 1/2 qts. cranberry juice
5 cinnamon sticks
1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. salt

Pour juices into bottom of large coffee pot or large vessel on stove. In strainer of coffee pot, or in cheesecloth put all remaining ingredients. Let coffee pot perk through cycle or heat juices in pot until almost boiling; then steep spices for 30 or more minutes. Makes 25 (4 ounce) servings.
