ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE BROWNIES 
3/4 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped pecans
11 1/2 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chunks

In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup of melted butter. Add boiling water and stir until well blended. Mix in sugar, eggs and remaining butter; blend in flour, vanilla and salt. Stir in pecans and chocolate chunks. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen.
