TEXAS OKRA 
1 lb. okra
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cornmeal

Chop okra and onion. Combine with salt, pepper, water and beaten egg. Mix flour, baking powder and cornmeal. Add to first mixture. Drop by tablespoon into hot grease. Brown oven medium heat. Drain on paper toweling.
