MOM'S BUTTERSCOTCH OVERNIGHT
COOKIES
 
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1 c. butter and lard mixed
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 to 4 c. flour
1 c. nut meats
1/2 to 1 c. shredded coconut

Mix all ingredients except flour. Stir in 3 cups of flour with spoon and work in about 1 cup or less with hands on bread board.

Form into a long rectangle shape. Let stand in refrigerator overnight and slice thin. Bake at 350 degrees until brown. Watch carefully.
