OVEN BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
2 lbs. meaty spareribs
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. shortening
4 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 c. catsup
1 c. tomato juice
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Brown onion in shortening. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Place spareribs in casserole. Pour sauce over and cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours or until tender. Baste ribs with sauce occasionally.
