CHICKEN WITH CABBAGE 
3 c. chicken broth
2 lb. carrots, cut up 2" lengths
2 tsp. sugar
Salt & pepper
2 lb. cabbage, cut into 1/2" slices
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 lg. onions
3 garlic cloves
4 boneless chicken breasts (add or delete pieces of chicken)

Cook carrots for 1/2 hour in chicken broth with salt and pepper. Boil cabbage for 5 minutes and drain. Brown chicken and set aside.

Cook sugar, onions and garlic. Add carrots and cabbage, cook 5 minutes. Add chicken. Simmer 1/2 hour. Serves 4.
