SCRUMPTIOUS CLOVERLEAF BISCUITS | |
Recipe for 36 lg. biscuits: 5 c. flour 4 eggs, beaten 1 stick butter 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. milk 3 pkg. yeast Recipe for 24 lg. biscuits: 3 1/2 c. flour 3 eggs, beaten 1 stick butter 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 c. milk 2 pkg. yeast 1. Heat milk, don't boil it. Add butter, sugar and beaten eggs. Beat. Mix yeast into this. 2. Add flour slowly; knead. Cover with butter. Put in pot (any kind) and cover with lid. Dough should rise in 1 hour. 3. Grease muffin tins with oil or butter. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Punch the dough and knead again. Make 3 balls the size of a quarter and place in a muffin tin. This makes a large biscuit which looks like a "cloverleaf". It's O.K. if dough spills over, a little. 4. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. After biscuits are baked, glaze with butter. |
