SUGAR COOKIES I | |
1 c. butter, softened 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs or egg substitute 1 tsp. almond extract 4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) In large bowl, beat butter until smooth. Add sugar and beat until light and creamy. Beat in eggs and almond extract. Combine flour and salt. Add flour to butter mixture in three batches, beating after each addition until well blended. Shape dough into ball and chill 30 minutes or until firm. Place dough on lightly floured surface and roll out until 1/4 inch thick. Cut into favorite shapes with cookie cutter. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place cookies on a lightly greased cookie pan (Pam is an excellent non-fat spray). Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool and decorate as desired. |
