STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS | |
2 lb. pkg. ground beef 5 eggs 3/4 tbsp. of each salt, pepper & garlic salt 2 c. raw rice (UNCLE BEN'S®) 1 onion, cut up 7 or 8 lg. green peppers 2 cans tomato sauce Break up 2 pounds of pressed ground beef into a large bowl. Crack and add eggs, mix with hands and fingers; season. Add rice and mix again. Cut (dice) onion and add to mixture and mix. Cut off tops of green peppers, and in half and take out or cut out the middles. Wash (seeds), dry. Stuff meat into green pepper halves, just over the tops a little. Pour over green peppers, stuff in a pan, tomato sauce. Cook for 45 minutes in a 450 degree oven until well cooked. |
