CONGO BARS 
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
1 lb. light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle's chocolate chips

Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Melt butter and add brown sugar. Stir until well mixed. Allow to cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients, then nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into greased pan, 2 (8 inch) square, and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. When almost cool, cut into squares.
