APPLE SAGE DRESSING 
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
5-6 c. cubed bread
1 1/2 peeled & diced tart apples
1 c. ham, diced
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. chopped parsley
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. sage
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Melt butter in medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and celery; saute until softened. Transfer to large bowl and mix in bread. Stir in remaining ingredients and blend well. Fills 2 (9 pound) birds.
