NUT OR POPPYSEED KIPFERL 
2 c. flour
1/2 lb. butter (sweet)

Rub or cut into flour. Add 1/4 cup sugar. Add 3 egg yolks. Work into four balls and chill.

Filling: About 1/4 lb. grated nuts or poppyseed. Add a little honey to make a stiff mix, and a little rum or whiskey. Some cinnamon and grated lemon rind.

Roll out a dough ball, about 1/8 inch thick x 10 inches. Cut into about 10 pie shapes. Place a small amount of filling on wide edge of each wedge and roll into crescents. Brush each top with egg yolk mixed with a little water.

Bake at 350 degrees until light brown (about 15 minutes).
