RICE PILAF 
3 tbsp. minced onion
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1/8 tsp. cracked pepper
3/4 c. raw rice
3 tbsp. slivered almonds or 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms

Saute onion in butter until tender. Add chicken broth, pepper and rice. Bring to boil and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in almonds or mushrooms. Place cover on pot. Reduce heat and simmer approximately 20 minutes.
