GUM DROP COOKIES 
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. water
2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. pecans
1 lb. gumdrops

Cut gumdrops in half and dredge in 1 cup of flour. Set aside. beat eggs and mix in sugar. Add the other cup of flour, spices and water. Mix. Add gumdrops and flour mixture and pecans. Batter will be very stiff. Grease a 9 x 13 inch or 11 x 16 inch pan with sides. Spread dough thin and bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes and cut into squares.
