GRANDMA'S CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS 
Simmer a 5 lb. hen until tender. Remove meat from bones. Strain broth hen was cooked in. (Cook hen in 3 quarts of water.) Combine 2 cups warm broth, 1 teaspoon salt and flour to make a stiff dough (about 5 cups). Roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut in small short strips and drop in boiling broth. Let it come to a boil. Turn heat low and simmer about 15 minutes with lid on. Combine dumplings, broth and chicken meat. Serves 12-15 persons.
