CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. unpopped popcorn
2 c. butter
2 c. granulated sugar OR brown sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup OR pancake syrup
2 c. nuts (walnuts, pecans, or whatever's on hand)

Pop corn according to directions. Set aside. Bring butter, sugar and syrup to boil; reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour mixture over popped corn. Stir in nuts until all are well coated. Stir occasionally while cooling or separate and cool on waxed paper.
