CONGO BARS 
1 1/2 sticks butter
3 eggs
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Sm. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 - 3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Beat butter (softened), eggs, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips and nuts) and beat until mixed well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in 9x13 inch baking pan that has been greased and floured. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
