RASPBERRY BARS 
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 1/4 c. flour, sifted
Dash of salt
1 1/2 c. raspberry or strawberry jam

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In as large bowl, cream sugar and butter. Mix in flour and salt. Press 3/4 of the mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.

Warm jam slightly in the microwave; spread over base. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top. Bake for 40 minutes. Cut into bars.

Makes 24 bars.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
